One of the most fascinating experiences in life is the opportunity to travel to beautiful spots in the world by air. It is a spectacular sight to sit in an airplane and take in the images below while floating in the clouds. This is the sentiment that is shared by many visitors after they get a glimpse of scenic spots flying over Port Antonio or Ocho Rios in Jamaica. It is of such that the tourists searching for the Jamaica air travel packages will do so, both to get to the island and to explore the different resort towns and attractions.

This is a welcome change for some people as they get a chance to spend vacations overseas and also to take a break from the bus or train rides. What better way to do this, than to find the discount rates and reach your destinations in much faster time. It takes a lot of nerve for some people to embark on this thrilling journey for the first time, but once they do, it’s a continuous event. Possibly the only thing that will stop these trips is the high price tickets, but with the attractive travel packages provided by airlines such as American Airlines and Air Jamaica this will cut the overall costs.

There are other factors which can assist and prevent you from spending huge amount for traveling, take a look at the following:

Undoubtedly, one of the appealing factors to spend vacations in Jamaica is the opportunity to obtain all inclusive packages to stay in luxury resorts and travel on comfortable flights. This is made possible by the wide variety of resorts found in the major resort areas of Negril, Ocho Rios, Montego Bay, Kingston and Port Antonio. They combine resources with the airlines and other companies to offer rooms, airline tickets, car rental, tours and more, all for one unbelievable price.

Similar to other popular destinations, it is also possible to make reservations online for your Jamaica vacations. Even if you are opting for the more secluded villas in the hills of Torado heights Montego Bay, you will find options on the travel sites to reserve your stay. This is not surprising as the use of technology is taking over the world and the hotels and airlines cannot afford to lose business in these times. So, you can grab your credit or debit card and get ready to purchase your Jamaica air travel packages as soon as a great deal appear on the market.

However, you should remember to do your research, as the time of the day and the season in which you are traveling will impact on the price for tickets. For instance, if you are planning to travel to Montego Bay in December, you can expect to pay high prices for flights and hotels. During this time the peak season rates will be added to everything and you might not even get to find available flights and rooms. So, if you are looking forward to save, pay attention to the specials in the off peak season and cut your travel package to almost half.

You will find a number of other strategies which will give you the opportunity to save on your air travel. Remember that you are searching for the ideal promotion that will give you a chance to explore the island on one of the domestic flights and take in the breathtaking views below. You are guaranteed to feel an excitement and adrenaline rush like never before, especially when you get a glimpse of the Cockpit country on the western side of the island.

Caribbean travel deals include cruise deals, airline tickets, vacation deals, rental car deals, and hotel deals. You should compare all the available aspects of a deal. Always think about the lowest possible rates and the best travel options available before taking decisions.

There are a lot of great cruise deals for the Caribbean offered by major cruise lines. Cruises have become one of the most popular ways to take a journey. Cruises features great food, entertainment, interesting ports of call, and fascinating tours of ancient ruins and cultures along way.

3 Great Ways to Get Cheap Travel Deals

As exciting as traveling can be, the rising cost of air travel and hotels can put a damper on even the most enthusiastic traveler. For those of us traveling on a budget, we want to get good value for money and make every dollar stretch as far as it possibly can. Saving everywhere possible is a great way to get more about of any trip as every small saving can quickly add up – especially if you are 2 people.

Obviously there are a lot of great deals to be had on the internet, but unfortunately a lot of it gets buried under the usual internet “advertising” deals and you almost always end up spending more than you think. I’ve become very skeptical of many internet deals and they often aren’t good deals at all. There are 3 very basic and often overlooked tips that I want to share with you.

1. Frequent Flyer Points
Its such an old concept, but many modern travelers overlook just how much they can save. Just one round-the-world ticket can earn you a ton of points. As an added extra, I would recommend you look into credit cards that offer frequent flyer mile incentives – and use that card while you travel. Your plane tickets will always be the biggest chunk of you expense and saving on that is probably the most significant thing to look into.

2. Travel Clubs
While many people think that travel clubs are for retired people looking for cruise deals, you’d be pleasantly surprised. The next generation of travel clubs are very different and many of them offer great deal to their members. Some clubs charge a membership fee but of you are a regular traveler then maybe its worth it. You will always get back much more than you pay for your membership.

3. Online Communities
One of the best inventions of the so-called Web 2 phenomenon is online communities. There are quite literally hundreds of travel communities catering to anything from adventure travel to travel jobs. Becoming a part of these communities is a great way to connect with like minded people and getting first hand tips from real people is the best way to hear about great deals and unbelievable offers.

Can Travel Deals Be Too Good to Be True?

The Internet is a great place to look for holiday bargains. We can compare prices on various deals, looking for companies who are able to offer us some real discounts. Some deals look fantastic, but are they always as good as they seem?

One of the problems with shopping for holidays in this way is that you may be encountering companies who you may know relatively little about. As a result, it’s understandable that you could be concerned about trusting such a company with a potentially large sum of money.

It is vital that you know what you’re getting when you book a holiday. You don’t want to arrive at your intended destination and be greeted with some nasty surprises. That’s why it’s really important to carry out plenty of research before travelling. Once again, you can do much of this online.

You can find out all about an individual country, region or popular tourist resort. You don’t have to rely on the travel brochures to tell you what a particular places like. Instead, you can read the views of other holidaymakers. You can get the inside story, helping you to make more informed travel decisions.

It is also possible for you to read independent, objective reviews of online travel agents. Make use of such reviews to identify those companies who should be avoided. Equally, they can help you to identify some of the very best travel operators to be found online.

Are there some warning signs that you should look out for? When looking at any travel agent, there are certainly a number of considerations. Think about whether they have a professional looking website and whether they are able to accept payments securely. Also give real thought to the deals that are on offer. Do they seem a little bit too good?

If they seem to be considerably cheaper than their rivals, you’ll certainly want to make sure that you check the small print. Beware of any holiday package deals where the operator will not reveal the accommodation arrangements to you until you arrive at your destination.

Shopping online does require a whole new approach. It may sometimes even require a little bit more time, but this time can certainly be well spent. Avoid any potential scams and make sure you get a great deal.

Acuatico Resort

About 3.5hours drive from Makati to Batangas via the Star Tollway, you will find this expensive resort in Laiya.

Two weekends ago, we were there for a 3-day trip sponsored by our principal. We were greeted with a welcome drink and immediately after check in we took photos of the resort.

The infinity pool is one of the best designed pool I have even seen. In the middle is the bar which serves drinks until 12 midnight upon request. The swimming pool though operates until 10PM only.

It has FREE wifi that would go up to 1.3Mbps. The rooms are equipped with phones, 32″ LCD TV hooked to a satellite service, an iPod dock/alarm clock and nice shower with bathtub and complete with hot and cold facility.

The food is awesome too, this is judging from my personal taste only. There’s a bottomless coffee in the restaurant.

Watersports is also available – Kayak and Jetski. Kayak is P150/head while Jesksi is P4,500/hour.

In the evening before you finally rest in your rooms, you can request for a local spa therapist.  At P350/hour you will enjoy a full body massage.

We have a photo gallery in this entry. Kindly check it out.

For details about the resort, you can contact their Manila office at Telephone:
(632) 892-7577 to 79 – Open from 9am – 6pm Mondays – Fridays

Lagen Island at El Nido Resorts, Palawan

There are a lot of really nice places to go when looking for beaches and resorts in Palawan. The entire group of islands is practically a huge resort in itself with hundreds of untapped small islands to check out. The most prominent though is Lagen Island in El Nido.

Our recent 3-day trip to El Nido was spent on Miniloc Island. However, we were able to visit Lagen Island on the second day just to check out the place and try their swimming pool.

In an island surrounded by white sands and sparkling waves, the pool is a nice contrast and is a favorite among visitors.

Lagen Island is just awesome and the resort is positioned to give visitors the best view of the sea. Cottages on stilts line the row of a small lagoon and scores of fishes and sea creatures populate the shallow water.

Like its sister resort, Minoloc Island, Lagen is a bit more private and secluded which caters more to couples who want a little lone-time and privacy. Of course, that comes with a price.

The resort has Free internet access available in each room, while mobile phone signal is only available on certain areas.

This romantically remote island caters for those who wish to ‘hammock’ and beach comb their days in paradise, and for those who seek an active agenda, involving a myriad of maritime adventures as well as tennis, a high-tec air-conditioned gym, and taking languid lengths in the resort’s 30m serene pool.“  – amanresorts.com

Bagasbas Beach in Daet, Camarines Norte

Bagasbas Beach

Some 350 kilometers south of Manila lies one of the country’s [little known] surf spot.

1

Approximately 7-8 hours drive south of Manila is Daet, Camarines Norte.

4 kms away from Daet town proper is Bagasbas beach, one of Philippines’ surfing, skimboarding and kiteboarding spot.

2

We had the chance to drop by Bagasbas beach on our way to Camarines Sur. It was around 10am and it was a low tide, the water was shallow and we had a good time beach walking.

3

On an ordinary day the waves reach 3-6 feet and on a lucky (surfer’s) day, it can reach up to 8 feet. The wave is good for those who are just starting to learn how to surf and also for the intermediate surfers.

4

Food and accomodation is cheap, though most inns and restaurants around the area are not fancy.
